New Sin City 2 trailer just released today. Being a fan of the first film, and the original cast and the new cast. I couldn't wait to see this film, but considering the recent film duds that Robert Rodriguez has put out lately (Machete 1 & 2); I'm having second thoughts about this one too.
From the new trailer its clear Rodriguez has an all star line up for the cast, but casting isn't everything in a film. Story is the main thing in any great film, tv series, or video game. Another thing you can tell from the trailer is that he's gone CG heavy in this film, but not in the quality of the first film. This CG seems more flat and 2-dimensional, while some parts of the first film felt more alive and natural - like a modern take an old noir style. So far this little preview gives the impression of a two dimensional world inhabited by 3 dimensional people, but hopefully not taking place with a 1 dimensional story.
But I'll watch them film with an open mind. I just hope it isn't as disappointing as the Machete films were.
Also last month there was some kind of faux controversy about the Eva Green Sin City 2 poster. Apparently the film rating board had a problem with the silhouette of Eva Green's breast on the poster - it was to sexy for them. LoL
Apparently a beautiful woman's breast is to controversial to have in a film poster, but guns, knives, explosions, or horrifying imagery isn't, LoL...... what a bunch of assholes.
There's nothing wrong with this Eva Green poster just the brains of those fools on the movie ratings board!
